Bell Temple #C 5 1/4"
Throughout the ages, religious individuals have sought to create an environment that would enhance spiritual communion by appealing to the senses. The bell held a certain Aura of Mysticism. From earliest times, the indefinite fading of a ringing tone has been associated with the Infinite. In Asia the attitude toward bells has always been one of Deep Reverence. It was believed that bells could Cast or Remove a Spell, Increase Fertility, or even House a Spirit. According to traditional belief, bell ringing purified the Holy Place. Although contemporary, this Temple Bell was fashioned after the bells of the Han Dynasty and the Chou Dynasty. This Bell measures approx. 5 1/4" tall by about 3 1/4" at its widest.
