This set of Premium Quality Black Anodized Heavy Brass Cymbals "Tingshas" came from the little marketplace outside of the Drepung Monastery. They are used by the Tibetan people during the Prayer and Meditation periods. When the two cymbal-shaped metal disks are struck together each produces a ringing sound of very slightly differing pitch. The combined effect gives rise to the unique 'shimmering' quality to the sound. Each cymbal measures approx. 2 1/2" in diameter.
